About LogRun.
LogRun is ordering and delivery software for UK log and firewood yards. It's made by With Gumption, a small team in Yorkshire.
Why it exists.
Log yards do something harder than they look. A few weeks of the year, everyone wants wood at once, orders turn up by every route there is, and a handful of people have to turn that into vans leaving the yard at eight in the morning.
Much of the software we found is built for other kinds of business, or for yards that sell by the cord. We wanted to make something for a UK yard: nets, crates, bulk bags and loads, postcodes, and a driver who wants a sheet of paper.
How it's being built.
LogRun is being built around a working log yard in Yorkshire, with the office, the yard and the drivers shaping each screen. That's why it looks the way it does: an order list, a run, a sheet. Nothing is there because it sounded clever.
It's deliberately small and focused. It doesn't try to be an accounting package or a route optimiser, and it says so. Where a yard wants something extra, such as text messages to customers or a route planner for drivers, we can add it.
Who we are.
With Gumption builds websites, marketing and bespoke systems for small businesses, from Bingley, near Bradford. LogRun is the part of that work we thought deserved a name of its own.
